Experience the best of the northern part of Morocco through the meticulously designed 4-day Morocco tour from Tangier. Whether you are in Spain and planning to make it to Morocco or you are landing in Tangier and wanting to explore the northern part of Morocco, then this short trip is suitable for you.

You’ll start your journey from Tangier heading down to Asilah to Volubilis and Meknes before spending the first night in Fez. The second day, you’ll explore Fez Medina with a local private tour guide. The third day, you’ll head north to the blue city of Chefchaouen and the fourth day you’ll continue on the track to the mysterious Tangier where you’ll have a guided tour.

Day 1: Tangier - Asilah - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez (B)

Arrive in Tangier from Spain or pick up from accommodation in Tangier & head to Fez. En route, you'll visit the tranquil and the artistic city of Asilah, which was built by the Portuguese on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The city is known for its painted walls and the annual festival of arts. You'll then drive through the fertile plain of Gharb to the Roman Ruins of Volubilis where you'll have a guided tour of the site. Continue on the track to Meknes, the late Alouite Sultan Moulay Ismail turned into a Versailles Version of Morocco during his reign in the 17th century. Start your tour of Meknes by the majestic Bab (Gate) Mansour, meander around the nearby el-Hedim Square, the olive market; visit Moulay Ismail Mausoleum and drive through the walls of the Royal Palace before reaching the granaries and Royal Stables where the Sultan used to look after his 12000 horses. In the evening, you drive to Fez by the highway.

Day 2: Full-day exploring Fez (B)

Today, you'll spend the day exploring what Fez has to offer with a local tour guide. You'll have a sightseeing tour around Fez, enjoy the panoramic view of the Fez el-Bali (Oldest Fez) atop the hill and learn about the rich history of the city. Take pictures by the golden gates of the Royal Palace and stretch your legs in the Mellah (former Jewish Quarter). Now, it's time to be taken back to Medieval Times as your tour guide will take you to the heart of the vibrant Fez el-Bali with its bustling cafes, intricate alleyways being the largest car-free district in the world and, for this reason, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You'll visit the Chouara Tanneries where you can learn how the best quality of the leather is being made while using traditional methods. Visit the Fondouks, museums and pass by the Koranic Schools including the famous Al-Quarawyyine University (the oldest University in the world)...in the late afternoon, your tour guide will escort you back to your accommodation.

Day 3: Fez - Chefchaouen (B)

After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, you'll head north to the blue city of Chefchaouen with a nice drive through the spectacular Rif Mountains. Explore this beautiful city that is painted mainly in blue turning it into one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Visit the Kasbah (fortress) and meander around the vibrant streets of the Medina with its shops that sell souvenirs and small items with affordable rates. Enjoy the stunning views by the Ras el-Ma Spring where you can see women washing clothes and rugs with the possibility to include a soft hike up to get the majestic view of the blue city atop the hill.

Day 4: Chefchaouen - Explore Tangier

Today, you'll drive back to Tangier and when arriving you'll have a sightseeing tour of the city including the promontory Cap Spartel where it's believed both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Seas converge. You may want to have a camel ride experience by the sandy Atlantic beach before visiting the pre-historic Hercules Caves.

Have a guided walking tour of the Kasbah that overlooks the Strait of Gibraltar, the Medina and the Iberian Peninsula. You may want to include the Kasbah Museum that was once resided by the Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century. Explore the vibrant Medina of Tangier with Souks that are divided into sections based on specialty. In the late afternoon, we may escort you back to the port of Tangier for departure or drop you off in the location of your choice...
