WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • Coming along with a light jacket can be helpful, because, Essaouira is windy almost all year especially during the afternoons.
  • Due to the water spills all over the harbor, putting on flip flops would be a disaster.
  • Our local Essaouira tour guide will be around until lunch after which you are free to explore the city and beach as you desire.
  • Our guides speak English and French. However, other languages are available on request which may include extra charges.
  • We would advise you to avoid the sea-food stalls at the port’s entrance so that you don’t end up spending a huge amount of money.

Pay a visit to the popular port filled with blue boats and seagulls flying above. Experience the refreshing effects of the sea breeze as you take a walk on top of the Skala du Port and along the lovely sandy beach about 6km long.

Marrakech - Essaouira

Experience an exclusive visit to the town of Essaouira also known as the fisherman town. We will pick you up from your hotel early enough as our trip commences at 8 in the morning. Our journey will take us through the Haouz Planes which leads to the Sidi Lmokhtar village located west of Marrakech.

We will have a coffee break at some point along the way and also our journey will take us through the distinct forest of Argan trees. Here you will experience the surprising sight of goats climbing the Argan trees searching for the Argan nuts.

We may make a quick stop at an oil-processing establishment for Argan oil and then continue to the Val d’Argan vineyard which was established by a French wine specialist. We can take carryout a quick wine tasting adventure before we continue to Essaouira that is if you want to.
When we have gotten to Essaouira, we will be joined by the local guide who will take us around the city. You will be opportune to visit Medina, the old Jewish Quarter also called the Mellah, the old Military Bastion also known as the Kasbah and finally visit the fishermen port.

Finally, we will have lunch at a local restaurant to give you a taste of the local delicacies, after which you have the opportunity to enjoy the calm mood and lovely beaches of the city. You can enjoy a cup of mint tea or coffee at the popular Moulay Elhassan where you will be entertained by beautiful Gnawa music.

Then our tour will end around 6 in the evening and you will be taken back to your hotel in Marrakech.
